Ready To Wear: Transforming Style.

A collection by Hussein Chalayan, named Ready-to-wear. Watching those dresses on the runway, is like seeing those concept cars in the autoshow. Pretty neat, inspiring, but not practical.

The New Sony Bravia Ad. | Play Doh.

•October 4, 2007 • Leave a Comment

We had a WAH from the Paint. Then the WOW from the Bouncing Balls. Here’s the latest tricks from Sony, the Play Doh. We knew they’re working on this new ad. with some bunnies out of clay. We knew it’s going to be something to get you amazed, again. But not till you finally see the final product.

“40 animators collaborating onset to move 2.5 tons of plasticine (189 bunnies, 150 boxes, and a 30 foot bunny) for approximately 100,000 stills to make up a 60 second commercials.”

Finally it’s here !

*note*: you all now know where your extra bucks for a new Sony LCD goes to ? Not for an extra megapixel that’s for sure ! Sony, advertising… Like.no.other…

Check out the Teaser in the mean time:

Nike Basketball Preview: Spring 2008.

Here’s some scans from the Nike Bball Spring ‘08 Catalog. Some signature products like the Lebron V Low, Chris Paul’s new shoes from Jordan, Lebron Solider II, Jordan XV SE, and a revised Huarache ‘08 Bball. They’re not too too bad if you ask me. But I’m still not a fan of those “Old-Skool- Jordan-Elements-Inspired” sneakers. Look at those XI inspired “The Sharkley”, I mean there’re tons of stuffs out there can get you inspired. Doesn’t have to always look back to the Jordan components ! But oh well, as long as it can sell…

The New iPods’s’s’s.

•September 5, 2007 • Leave a Comment

Yeah, so the new iPods have been announced today. We now have 4 models for the MP3 player lineup alone for Apple. Though nothing too excited about the new announcements today since we all have heard and expecting their new move for months now. But what surprise me is they have lowered the price for the iPhone, from $599 to $399.

Why would they lower a still hot selling product in the lineup to make it a direct competition with its own newly introduced iPod Touch ?! With just a narrow $100 difference, a iPhone can do what iPod Touch can’t. But not the reverse. This is an interesting move….

Kicks 10th Issue.

Here’s the 10 covers of the Slam’s Kicks magazine. It’s interesting when you look at different headlines from the covers. You can clearly see there’re quit different eras over the past 10 years or so. In terms of the superstars from NBA or the superstars that representing different brands.

From “One Size Fits All” > “All Shoes That Fit”> “Bubble Wrap” > “Kicksology 101″ > “Tearin’ Tags” > “Superstar Power” > “Fully Laced” > “Good Wood” > “They Got Five On IT” > “XX3 Years Young”. The LOVE is the same !

One Of My All Time Fav.! JRDN XIV OG wht/red.

•August 29, 2007 • Leave a Comment

One day I was debating with an old time buddy which colorway is the best out from the XIV’s. ( XIV’s is one of my all time fav. Jordan’s by the way ) Then my buddy picked out the ‘98 Finals Black/Red. I still prefer the white/blk to wear on the street, and this white/varsity-red just to stare at !

There you go! Go figure what’s the differences from this to the retro now:

Sneaker Freaker Feature: Air Footscape.

Just finish reading the Footscape feature put up by Sneaker Freaker. They interviewed the original footscape designer Tory Orzec, who is now a co-owner of FUSE. I like the footscape. So much details on the shoes and now I know alot more behind the design and development stages back in ‘95 !
